Get a Pint. Let’s Paint!
Pint and Paint is much more than a watercolor workshop hosted at your local brewery or place of worship.
It’s a place to slow down, connect with others, play, and rediscover the childlike awe and wonder of creating with your own hands. Beyond learning to paint with watercolors, you’ll find healthy outlets for your stress and struggles through some mental health best practices—all while having FUN!
Founded by Austin-based artists—partners in marriage and community outreach—Mike & Lisa Martinez seek to bring creativity and healing to communities. With his art school studies and passion for tech, woodworking, and other innovative mediums, Mike excels at educating and encouraging others. From Lisa’s degree in mental health, years of serving others through nonprofit and ministry work, and decades of creative pursuits, she has experienced the healing power of art amidst struggles with stress, grief, and recovery from trauma. Mike and Lisa now use their creativity to help others reconnect—with themselves, with one another, and with the beauty around them to heal.
Our workshops bring people together at breweries and sometimes in sacred spaces, providing watercolor supplies and a guided, shared experience. No artistic experience is required, and we honor how each person is creative in their own way. With no pressure to create a masterpiece and no “right” way to paint, Pint and Paint lets participants enjoy freedom and fun.
Come and make a new friend or three! Experience a safe space to let go of control and perfectionism, embrace the unexpected, and enjoy the process. Let healing begin by making room to breathe, create, and connect.
Join us at our next event, OR invite us to your local brewery or Church, to experience Pint and Paint for yourself!
Our Three Pillars
-
It is not about whether you're artistic; we are all creative. This is part of what it means to be human. Creativity engages curiosity, imagination, and self-expression. Our watercolor workshops invite you to let go of perfection, embrace the unexpected, and discover beauty in the process.
-
We create spaces that foster fun and build connection in a world where it’s easy to feel isolated. The Pint and Paint experience brings down barriers, grows trust, and reminds you that you’re not alone. We cultivate community to provide safe spaces where healing can begin or continue.
-
Healing is not about conquering all your faults and fixing every wound, but about becoming whole—more fully the person you were created to be. We intentionally develop spaces where people feel safe, seen, valued, and free to take even one small step toward wholeness. Our approach to healing art reconnects you with yourself, quiets your inner critic, and sparks joy as you make something with your own hands in a refreshing, communal setting.
